ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth men's lacrosse team scored 16 first half goals en route to a 27-6 victory over Keuka College on Saturday at NLPA Field.
Carter Wegman,
Salvatore DiFilippo, and
Gibson Spector all scored their first career goals in the win.
Quinn McKercher finished with one goal and five assists, while
Matthew Farrington added five goals.
Nazareth is now 8-4 overall and 4-0 in Empire 8 play, while Keuka drops to 3-7 and 0-4, respectively.
Nazareth was dominant in the faceoff circle, winning 32 of 38 faceoffs. Jacob Denkenberger was a perfect 18-for-18 from the face off X. He now has a season faceoff percentage of .706 which ranks him 13th in the country.
Cole Doldo was 6-10 and
Colin Hughes was 8-9 at the x.
All four goalies for Nazareth saw action, with
McLean Ralston earning the win.
Kyle Rosenberger,
Michael Bergan,
William Meagher all had had two goals, while
Owen Riley had three goals and one assist.
Lucas Bertram and
William O'Neill, each had six ground balls apiece, while Denkenberger led the way with 14.
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday hosting Geneseo at 12 p.m.
