ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth women's golf team, spearheaded by
Bethany Wineburg and
Kayla Ringler, took down the rest of the competition on Monday at the Nazareth Spring Invitational held at Irondequoit Country Club. Wineburg and Ringler tied for first after carding 83 (+11).
Nazareth shot a 377 as a team (+89), while Geneseo shot a 408 (+120) and William Smith a 436 (+148). Keuka and Sage did not register team scores.
Ringler shot a 39 (+3) on the front 9 and a 44 (+8) on the back to complete her round. Wineburg had identical front and back 9s as Ringler.
Grace Colangelo tied for 9
th place after shooting a 104 (+32), while
Kara Kopyt shot a 107 (+35).
Sabrina Schultz shot a 120 (+48) for 18
th place.
Nazareth will participate in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the Wintonbury Hill Golf Course in Bloomfield, CT.
