AVCA All-Region Teams

ROCHESTER, NY – Graduate student Owen Wickens was tabbed an American Volleyball Coaches Association Region II All-Star for the fifth time in his career on Monday.

Wickens finished the year with 357 kills (3.13 per set), 170 assists (1.49 per set), 73 service aces (.64 per set), 236 dig (2.07 per set), and 36 total blocks. His .64 aces per set ranked fifth in the country, while his 236 digs were the highest of his career in a single season.

The outside hitter helped guide #15 Nazareth to the UVC title game against eventual champion, #1 NYU. It was the Golden Flyers first appearance in the championship game since 2013.

Wickens will go down as the all-time leader at Nazareth in kills (1508), attack attempts (3,470), and service aces (308).
