Field Hockey Set to Host Flowers for 14 Cancer Awareness Game

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Field Hockey is set to host its "Flowers for 14" Cancer Awareness game against SUNY Geneseo, Oct. 25, in honor of former student athlete Mya Maloof.

Maloof was a member of the Golden Flyers field hockey team from 2018 to 2021 who sadly passed away on August 11, 2023. In addition to its awareness game, Nazareth Field Hockey is raising funds in her honor to support melanoma research at the University of Rochester Medical Center's Wilmot Cancer Institute.

T-shirts and sunflowers are available for preorder until Sunday, Oct. 12, with all proceeds donated in honor of Maloof. T-shirts are available for preorder only and can be shipped or picked up on game day while sunflowers can be preordered or purchased on game day. Rubber bracelets will also be available in person at the game.

Start time for Nazareth's contest against SUNY Geneseo is slated for 1 p.m. at NLPA Field.
