ROCHESTER, NY - On November 11, 2007 Nazareth senior Jessica Brown became the first-ever women's cross country runner to compete at the NCAA Division III Championships, finishing in 177th place out of 280 runners. Brown remains the only Nazareth women's cross country runner to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Brown clocked a 23:27 over the 6-kilometer course at St. Olaf's College in Minnesota.
She was joined at the national meet by seniors Brendan Epstein and Nick Stenuf, who were the first male runners to advance to the national championship meet.
