RUSH, NY – Senior Kayla Ringler fired a +17 to place third overall and lead the Nazareth University Women's Golf team to a third-place finish at the Nazareth Spring Invitational at the Wild Wood Country Club.
Nazareth finished third in a tight battle for the final three spots in the team scoring with a +140 score. SUNY Cobleskill won the team scoring with a +122 and William Smith was second with a +130. The Golden Flyers finished ahead of Keuka (+142) and SUNY Canton (+143).
Ringler had the low score for Nazareth with her +17 and sophomore Kara Kopyt was next at +25 and tied for seventh overall. Fellow sophomore Grace Colangelo finished 11th with a +38 and freshman Sabrina Schultz rounded out the Nazareth team score with a +60 in 20th place overall. Graduate student Marina Monzon was one stroke back at +61 in 21st place.
Nazareth will compete next at the Northeast Women's Golf Championships April 27-28 at The Edison Club in Rexford, NY.
