Women’s Golf Ties Keuka in Mid-Week Match Play

PENN YAN, NY – Senior Kayla Ringler and sophomore Kara Kopyt each posted wins for the Nazareth University Women's Golf team Wednesday in a match play dual against Keuka College at the Lakeside Country Club.

Ringler won with a 5-up score and Kopyt hit a par on 16 to clinch her match 2-up to Lead Nazareth.

Sophomore Grace Colangelo battled back-and-forth all afternoon and ended up tied after 18 holes and the final two pairings ended up with Keuka victories as freshman Sabrina Schultz and graduate student Marina Monzon dropped matches.

Nazareth and Keuka ended up tied with each team posting a 2.5 score in the overall match.

The Golden Flyers will host the Nazareth Spring Invitational Sunday at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush.
