Women’s Golf finishes 15th at Martin/Wallace Tournament

CORTLAND, NY – After a rough day of weather Saturday and a lightning delay Sunday, Martin/Wallace Memorial Tournament in Cortland finally finished and the Nazareth Women's Golf team ended up in 15th place overall.

William (297) won the team competition with NYU (302) in second followed by Amherst (303), Hamilton (307), Middlebury (309) and Ithaca (313). Host Cortland (343) was ninth and Nazareth (460) was 15th.

Senior Kayla Ringler led Nazareth as she shot 89 (+17) and placed 53rd overall.  

Next for the Golden Flyers was the sophomore duo of Kara Kopyt placing 72nd and Grace Colangelo in 78th place. Kopyt scored a 104 (+32), and just six strokes behind her was Colangelo with a 110 (+38). 

Sabrina Schultz rounded out the Nazareth scoring with a 157 (+85).

The Golden Flyers look ahead to next Sunday when they host the Nazareth Spring Invitational at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush.
