ROCHESTER, NY - Senior Alex Rizzo delivered a resounding performance at the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on on March 21, finishing in third place on the 1-meter board to earn all-american honors.
After finishing in eighth place in the prelims, Rizzo was the final diver to qualify for the 8-person final. Rizzo delivered 452.45 points in the finals after putting up 416.35 in the prelims.Â
The third-place finish was the highest for a Nazareth diver since Kama Grattet won the national championship in 1-meter diving in 1985.
