Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Women's field hockey elevated their conference record to 3-2 with a 4-1 win over Utica on Wednesday evening.
Audra Mieczkowski led the scoring charge with a hat trick.
Lydia Coombs assisted on all three of the goals.

The Golden Flyers are now 4-6 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

The first quarter was relatively quiet, with both teams missing a few scoring opportunities. Towards the end of the quarter,
Michaela Cushman went on a long drive, weaving past defenders to score an unassisted goal and put the Golden Flyers in the lead going into the second quarter.

In the second quarter, Mieczkowski scored in the 20
th minute of game play off an assist from Coombs. Under two minutes later, she scored another goal from
Madison Chodkowski and Coombs.

Nazareth held the 3-0 lead going into the second half.

In the 12
th minute of the third quarter, Mieczkowski and Coombs connected again to earn Mieczkowski a hat trick. The score remained 4-0 heading into the final quarter.

Utica tried to fight back in the last quarter with a goal in the final minute of the game, but Nazareth had already sealed the deal, and the Golden Flyers took home a 4-1 win.

Nazareth will be back in action on October 12
th for another conference game at 2 p.m. against Sage, where they will be celebrating Alumni Weekend.
