Women's Soccer Wins Final Game of Regular Season; 1-0 Against St. John Fisher

ROCHESTER, NY- Junior Lauryn Obey helped the Golden Flyers to a 1-0 victory in the last game of the regular season against the St. John Fisher Cardinals.

The Golden Flyers are now 10-5-2 overall, and have finished conference play with a 7-2-2 record. Nazareth has now clinched the fourth seed spot heading into the post season.
 
Fisher had a high press and most of the possession in the first 15 minutes of the game.
 
With 9 minutes left in the second half, Lauren Richie had a perfect ball across the 18 yard box creating an opportunity for Camryn Schiavitti but she was unable to place the ball in the back of the net. 
 
Fisher out-shot the Golden Flyers 4-1 in the first half. 
 
The first half ended scoreless. 
 
The Golden Flyers came out more physical in the second half and were ready to put up a battle. 
 
In the 60th minute, Lauryn Obey had a phenomenal right footed strike placing the ball in the back of the net to score the first and only goal of the game. 
 
The Cardinals out shot the Golden Flyers 7-5. 
 
Annika Monfort had 5 saves. 
 
The Golden Flyers return to action as they host the Empire 8 Quarter Final game at Golden Flyer Stadium against Sage at 11 a. m. on Saturday, November 2nd.
