Final Scores

UTICA, NY – Senior Kayla Ringler shot an impressive 85 Thursday to take medalist honors by two strokes as the Nazareth University Women's Golf team battled Utica in a dual match in Utica.

The Pioneers had a four-player score of 392 and Nazareth finished with a 415.

The turning point of the match was on the par-3 13th hole as Ringler fired a birdie and picked up four strokes as the top Utica finisher scored a six on the hole. Ringler gave a stroke back on each of the next two holes but the duo had a tie score over the final three holes to secure the individual win for Ringler.

After Ringler's low score, Utica had the next three finishers before sophomore Grace Colangelo recorded a 103 to finish fifth overall. Sophomore Kara Kopyt tied for sixth with a 113 and freshman Meghan Hicks rounded out the Nazareth scoring one shot back at 114.

Nazareth will compete in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday in Westfield, Massachusetts.
