CANTON, NY – Senior Kayla Ringler scored a par on six of the final seven holes in her round to move up to fifth place overall as she led the Nazareth University Women's Golf team to a third-place team finish at the SUNY Canton Invitational Wednesday afternoon at the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.
St. Lawrence won the team title with a final score of +55, Utica was second at +108 followed by Nazareth with a team score of +154. Host Canton was fourth with a +161 score.
Ringler finished with a +21 to take fifth place overall while sophomore Kara Kopyt was second for Nazareth and 11th overall with a +34 score. Fellow sophomore Grace Colangelo was next with a score of +42 in 13th place overall.
Freshman Meghan Hicks shot a +57 to take 16th place and freshman Sabrina Schultz rounded out Nazareth with a +76 and a 19th place finish.
The Golden Flyers will compete next in the Keuka Invitational next Wednesday at Lakeside Country Club.
