ROCHESTER, NY – Anthony Richardson and Alison Ferrara have been hired as Athletic Trainers at Nazareth University with the start of the 2023-24 season just weeks away.
Richardson comes to Nazareth with a substantial list of experiences to his credit and most recently worked with the University of Rochester Medical Center assisting in the Work Place Health program and provided outreach services for the University Preparatory Charter School for Boys.
At Nazareth, he will work primarily with the women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball and softball teams.
Prior to his experience with the medical center, Richardson was the assistant athletic trainer for the St. Bonaventure men's basketball and men's golf teams, was the assistant athletic trainer with South Carolina State University working with men's basketball and men's tennis teams and started his career as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Campbell University working with women's volleyball, men's basketball, men's and women's tennis, wrestling and track and field teams.
Richardson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Indianapolis and earned a Master of Education degree from Campbell University.
Ferrara comes to Nazareth after stints with Sports Medicine Concepts in Avon, NY and the University of Rochester Orthopedic Sports Medicine office in Penfield, NY. From 2015-2017, Ferrara was the athletic trainer for Pembroke High School.
Ferrara will focus her attention on the men's and women's swimming and diving and rugby teams at Nazareth.
After earning an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy degree from Genesee Community College, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The College at Brockport.
