CORTLAND, NY – The Nazareth Women's Golf team placed third overall with three individual players finishing among the top-11 places as the Golden Flyers competed at the Martin-Wallace Tournament at the Cortland Country Club.
Nazareth played in the Martin Division of the tournament and scored a +188, 764. Suffolk University won the division with a combined +126 (702) and William Smith (+183/759) finished just five strokes ahead of the Golden Flyers. St. Lawrence (+193/769) was fourth and Geneseo (+197/773) was fifth.
Senior Danielle Caringi led Nazareth as she tied for fifth with a +34, 178. Fellow senior Holly Ebert was one stroke back in 8th place on the leaderboard and junior Kayla Ringler placed 11th at +43, 187.
Freshman Kara Kopyt finished in 22nd place with her score of +76, 220 to round out the scoring for Nazareth.
The Golden Flyers will compete at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship Tournament at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
