ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Ethan Kenyon shaved more than a minute off his personal best 8K time as he led the Nazareth Men's Cross Country team to a 10th place team finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester Saturday at Genesee Valley Park.

Kenyon placed 32nd overall with a time of 26:53.6 and was followed closely by senior Nathan Bowers who was 33rd in 26:54.4.

Nazareth finished with 298 points in 10th place overall. NYU won the team race with 39 points followed by Univ. of Buffalo (126 points), Ohio Northern (131), Geneseo (161), Trine (170), Rochester (189), Hamilton (225), RIT (248) and Cortland (261). Nazareth finished ahead of Ithaca, Fredonia, Colgate,Oberlin, St. John Fisher, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Delhi, Oneonta, Brockport, Houghton, Alfred State, Niagara, Hobart and Oswego in the meet with nearly 300 runners.

Junior Matt Reimann was next for the Golden Flyers in 45th position and a time of 27:07.5. Sophomore Cade Eells was 76th in 27:47.4 and freshman Antonio Benitez rounded out the Nazareth scoring in 112th place with a time of 28:30.6.

Additional finishers for Nazareth included junior Kenny Williams in 115th place with a time of 28:35.2 and freshman Joey Everts in 118th place and a time of 28:44.7.

Nazareth will race next on September 30 at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
