Ally Watrous scored her team-leading 21st goal off a rebound of a shot by
Makenna Wiljanen.
The Golden Flyers' seemingly comfortable lead was cut in half early in the third period when LVC's Brenna Mulcahy stole a pass near her own blue line and scored unassisted off the semi=breakway.
Nazareth regained its two-goal cushion about eight minutes later as
Madison Nichols produced her 17th goal of the season off an assist from
Elie Fallieras.
Nazareth's penalty kill was sharp as the Dutchwomen went 0-for-3 on the power play, including 0-for-2 in the third period.
Adrianna Brehm won her 15th game of the season in goal for Nazareth by making 12 saves.
The victory was the ninth in a row for the Golden Flyers. They defeated their Saturday evening opponent, Chatham, twice during the regular season -- 6-0 and 4-0 respectively back on Nov. 5 and 6.
