WILTON, N.Y – The Nazareth women's golf team took second place on Sunday in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Invitational at McGregor Links Country Club, finishing with a total team score of +94 (382). Junior
Kayla Ringler once again led Nazareth, tying for third place with a +14 (86) on the par-72 course.
SUNY Cortland was first at +60 (348), followed by Nazareth +94 (382), Suffolk +100 (388), Husson +122 (410), and Utica University +132 (420) rounded out the top five of 10 teams.
Ringler began the day with her lone birdie on a par-5. She was +1 through seven holes before a triple bogey on the par-5 8
th set her to +4 for the day. She was +5 on the front 9 and +9 on the back.
Senior
Holly Ebert shot a +22 (94) to finish tied for ninth place. Close behind was
Danielle Caringi who was +25 (97) which was 13
th place.
Freshman
Kara Kopyt was the final scorer for Nazareth, shooting a +33 (105) which was good for 21
st place.
The Golden Flyers will host the Nazareth College Invitational next Sunday and Monday. Sunday will take place at The Links at Greysone, while Monday will be at Webster Golf Club.
