Jeremy Hollenbeck '95 Inducted Into Upstate Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame

EAST SYRACUSE, NY – Former Nazareth lacrosse standout, Jeremy Hollenbeck '95, was inducted to the Upstate Lacrosse Foundation's 2022 Hall of Fame on Sunday at Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse. Hollenbeck joined seven other local lacrosse legends and one team to make up the 23rd induction class. In all the Upstate Lacrosse Foundation now has 143 individuals, six teams, and three contributors.
 
The 2022 inductees were Erica (LaGrow) Bamford, Mike DeMaria, Kyle Guadagnolo, Jeremy Hollenbeck, Kevin Martin, Brandon Spillett, Lyle Thompson, and Eric Ungleich.
 
Hollenbeck graduated from Jordan-Elbridge in 1990 before heading to Nazareth for a hall of fame career. In addition to being inducted into the Nazareth Hall of Fame in 2003 as an individual, Hollenbeck was inducted into the Jordan-Elbridge Hall of Fame in 2001. The four-year standout earned All-America honors for the Golden Flyers in 1993 and 1994. He was a key contributor on the 1992 national championship squad, scoring three goals each in NCAA tournament wins over Hobart and Roanoke. For his career, he ranks among the Nazareth leaders in points with 125 and goals with 86.
 
Following his career at Nazareth, Hollenbeck was drafted by the Rochester Knighthawks which began a 10-year pro career.
 
"Never did I think I would ever be up here, receiving this honor," he said in his acceptance speech. He went onto say, "God must have looked down on this skinny kid with a mullet, wearing a Motley Crue t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, who wasn't very popular, and said, 'I'll give him lacrosse."
