GENEVA, N.Y. -- Nazareth sent a full contingent of tennis players to William Smith over the weekend and the Golden Flyers struggled against some stiff competition.

Sophomore Aliya Guzman was the Golden Flyers' lone winner as she took a consolation match in the A Singles Flight. She defeated Geneseo's Natalia Krol for the second time within a week, winning 8-3. She also defeated Krol in straight sets in a dual match last Wednesday.

Guzman also teamed with freshman Claire Pullen in A Doubles Flight. They dropped a close match in the consolation round, falling to RIT's tandem of Gabby Donahue and Jackie Drozd 8-7 with  7-4 tiebreaker.

In the B Doubles Flight, Nazareth's freshman duo of Ali Klee and Gwen Burns lost to William Smith's twosome of Louisa Morrow and Crystal Morgans 8-7.

Nazareth resumes its dual meet schedule Saturday with an Empire 8 Conference match at Alfred at 1 p.m.
