HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Emily Weaver was the Golden Flyers' top individual finisher Friday as Nazareth placed second in the team standings at the Empire 8 Conference women's cross country championships at Houghton.
St. John Fisher had the top two individual finishers and five of the top nine to take home the team title with 21 points. Nazareth had 51 points and was followed by Russell Sage (86), Houghton (110), Utica (129) and Alfred (139).
Weaver crossed the finish line in 19:40.5 for 5 kilometers. Fisher's Riley Corey won the race in 18:43.1.

Lilianna Hanning also cracked the top 10 for the Golden Flyers with her time of 20:10.6, good for eighth place. Also scoring for Nazareth were sophomore
Megan Morin in 11th place (20:25.2), sophomore
Giselle Rainville in 12th place (20:27.1) and junior
Hayley Cronin in 14th place (20:32.2).

Paige Ackley in 15th place (20:34.6), junior
Claire Bargabos in 16th place (20:44.3), sophomore
