CLIFTON SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Sophomore
Danielle Caringi was Nazareth's low scorer on a water-logged Clifton Springs Country Club course Sunday as the Golden Flyers opened their women's golf season at the William Smith Invitational.
Idle since October of 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Golden Flyers finally returned to action Sunday and finished in fourth place in the team standings with a stroke total of 400. Union won the team title with a 353 stroke total. Cortland placed second (383), followed by William Smith (393), Nazareth (400) and St. John Fisher (433).
Caringi finished ninth individually with a score of 94 on the par-72 layout. Cortland's Danielle Bambola won medalist honors with a score of 79.
Sophomore
Holly Ebert finished in a tie for 11th place for Nazareth with a score of 97. Other Nazareth competitors were junior
