ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's men's and women's golf teams were in action over the weekend as each closed out their spring seasons. The Nazareth men's team finished fifth at the two-day Oswego Invitational with rounds of 332 and 342 for a two-day total of 674. Nazareth's women's team competed Sunday at the inaugural Northeast Women's Golf Conference championship and finished in sixth place at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Mass.
Sophomore
Jake Adams was the top finisher for the men's team as he climbed into a tie for eighth place individually by shooting a score of 80 on Oswego Country Club's par-71 layout. He shot 83 Saturday for a two-day total of 163.
Other Nazareth competitors were freshman
Jake Costa, who finished 16th with scores of 81 and 87 for a 168 total; freshman
Bryce Dorough, who was tied for 20th with scores of 81 and 90 for a 171 total; and senior
Jeff Gurbacki, who finished 22nd following scores of 87 and 85 for a 172 total. Oswego won the team title with a two-day stroke total of 612.
Competing in a brand new conference tournament, Nazareth's women's team finished with a score of 417 to finish sixth overall. Suffolk won the event with a score of 355, followed by Husson (368) and Johnson & Wales (381).
Deanna Tinch was Nazareth's top finisher with a score of 99. Also competing for the Golden Flyers were

Sara McCall (102) and
Keelin Paquette (115).
