Makenna Wiljanen scored three goals and sophomore
Hailey Redders added a pair for visiting Nazareth Friday as the Golden Flyers blanked Anna Maria, 8-0, in non-conference women's hockey action.
Wiljanen's three goals boosts her season total to five (with two assists) through the Golden Flyers first three games, all victories. Nazareth and Anna Maria meet again Saturday at 3 p.m. The Amcats dropped to 0-3.

Rae Rice and
Madison Schroeder also scored goals for the Golden Flyers, who have outscored the opposition 17-1 through the first three games. Two of the goals Friday came on the power play and one was short-handed.
Wiljanen scored twice for Nazareth in the first period as the Golden Flyers opened a 2-0 lead. The first goal came on the power play with assists from Schroeder and
Keeley Rose.
Nazareth poured it on in the second period with five more goals as the lead ballooned to 7-0. Redders scored her first two goals of the season, including one on the power play, and Schroeder added a short-handed goal at 18:43 after teammate
Kyla Thompson was accessed a two-minute roughing infraction.
Wiljanen's third goal came at 3:59 of the third period. She became the third Nazareth player to score three times in a game, joining Redders and Rose, who each achieved that milestone last season.
Nazareth had a whopping 51-5 edge in shots on goal. Sophomore
Noelle Giroux made the start in goal and stopped all five Amcat scoring chances to gain her second career shutout.
