RESULTS
CANTON, NY – Sophomore Erin Reyner raced to a 91st place finish and led the Nazareth College women's cross country team to a 22nd place team finish Saturday at the NCAA Atlantic Regional and NCAA Championship qualifying race at St. Lawrence University.
Reyner clocked a 24:46.7 to finish among the top 100 in the race out of a total of more than 250 runners. Fellow sophomore Claire Bargabos was the next highest finisher for the Golden Flyers in 129th place and freshman Megan Morin was 130th. Two additional freshmen, Alexis Anagnostopulos and Mackenzie Carney rounded out the Nazareth scoring in 160th and 199th positions respectively.
The women were 22nd in the team standings with 697 points. Geneseo won the team championship with 61 points and four top-20 finishers while Rensselaer was second (83 points), Ithaca (102), Rochester (122), Vassar (168), RIT (174), St. Lawrence (209), Hamilton (227), New Paltz (287) and NYU (293) rounded out the top 10 teams.
Houghton (17th) was the highest finishing team from the Empire 8 followed by St. John Fisher (20th) and Nazareth. Utica was 24th, Hartwick was 35th and Elmira 37th for the conference.
