ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting St. Lawrence finally broke through for the game's lone goal in the 76th minute Saturday as the Saints defeated Nazareth, 1-0, in a non-conference women's soccer match at Golden Flyer Stadium.
The Saints remained unbeaten at 3-0, while Nazareth is 2-2 despite having yielded just two goals so far this season.
St. Lawrence had most of the scoring chances as the Saints outshot Nazareth 14-3, but the Golden Flyers' defense was once again resilient. The goal finally came with less than 15 minutes remaining in regulation as a shot bny Julia Mulhern caromed off the hands of Nazareth goalkeeper
Hannah Miller, then squirted over her shoulder and into the net. Lauren Arthaud was credited with the assist.
Nazareth tried desperately to get the equalizing goal, but was unable to muster much in the way of offense.

Ashley Plane and
Mary LoCicero were the only players to be credited with shots and LoCicero's was the only shot that was one goal. Saints' keeper Samantha Allen made one save.
After four straight home games, Nazareth takes to the road Wednesday to play at Brockport in non-conference action at 4 p.m.
