CLIFTON SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women's golf team returned to action over the weekend and turned in an eighth-place finish at the William Smith Invitational at Clifton Springs Country Club.

The Golden Flyers, led by a 20th-place individual finish by sophomore Deanna Tinch, posted a two-round team score of 834 following rounds of 409 and 425. Hamilton won the team title with a two-day score of 650. Cortland was second with 674. Cortland's Danielle Bambola was the top individual fininsher with scores of 74 and 75 for a 149 total.

For Nazareth Tinch had scores of 95 and 91 for a total score of 186. Other Nazareth competitors were sophomore Sara McCall in 36th place (101-108--209); sophomore Gabriela Groman in 42nd place (106-112--218) and junior Olivia Dowdle and freshman Keelin Paquette, who finished tied for 44th place 224 totals.
