Game 1 – RIT 1, Nazareth 0
RIT had two hits in the opening inning, taking advantage of an error that would have been the final out. That error allowed the visitors to score the only run it would need to earn the victory.
Nazareth doomed itself with 12 runners left on base, including leaving the bases loaded in both the fifth and sixth innings.
The Golden Flyers mustered two hits in the second, one from
Madison Joseph and the other from
Kristen Simmons, however, Nazareth was unable to cash in.
Joseph registered her second (2-for-3) hit of the game in the fourth and Simmons later walked. Corasanati saw her second hard-hit line drive end the inning.
After being held hitless for five-straight innings, RIT strung together two hits to begin the seventh, only to have Corasaniti battle out of the jam to keep the score at 1-0. She finished the game allowing just four hits, while striking out six.
Simmons was 2-for-2 in the game.
Game 2 – Nazareth 3, RIT 2
Janelle Walters got things started with a single and

Three more hits in the second led
Jessica Mount to score on a single from
Marissa Drees, making it 3-0.
RIT got two of its six hits the game in the fourth, both doubles, to get one run on the board.
Later, in the sixth, two errors cost Nazareth a run to bring the score to, 3-2. Smith went 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out two. Corasaniti came in with two outs and the bases loaded, eventually inducing a groundout to keep the lead at one.
In the seventh, the Tigers reached on an error, only to have Corasaniti close down the next three batters to earn the save. Her stats read 1 2/3 innings pitched, with no hits allowed.
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Elmira for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
