SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Host Skidmore, ranked 11th nationally, dominated Nazareth in a non-conference field hockey game Wednesday as the Thoroughbreds unleashed 37 shots in a 7-0 win over the Golden Flyers.
The Golden Flyers slipped to 1-6 overall, while Skidmore improved to 4-2.
Gabby Hyman scored two goals and added an assist for the Thoroughbreds, including the game's first tally just 2:26 into the opening half. Maddie Davenport and Marissa Folts each contributed one goal and one assist.
Nazareth was unable to generate anything offensively as Skidmore led 2-0 at the half and tacked on five more goals in the second half. Junior
Kimber Nourse played all 70 minutes in goal for Nazareth and made 18 saves.
The Golden Flyers resume their Empire 8 Conference schedule Saturday with a road game at Washington & Jefferson at 1 p.m.
