GENESEO, N.Y. -- Nazareth surrendered its first goal of the season in women's soccer Saturday as Brockport cashed in in the game's 74th minute to claim a 1-0 women's soccer victory over the Golden Flyers in a non-conference match.

The game was played as part of the Golden Challenge to a Pink Cure tournament hosted by Geneseo. Geneseo and St. John Fisher were scheduled to play in the second game. Both Nazareth and Brockport have overall records of 2-1-1.

After recording shutouts in their first three games, the Golden Flyers extended their shutout streak to more than 360 minutes as the team played scoreless soccer for the first 45 minutes. Then in the 74th minute, Brockport's Stefanie Drago dribbled through the Nazareth defense and chipped a left-footed shot over the head of Nazareth keeper Allison Dobles for the game's lone tally.

Nazareth had two strong chances to tie the score in the closing minute, but a shot by senior Michaela Soules caromed off the crossbar and another shot by Jessica Byrnes was saved by Brockport goalie Daniele Ogrodowski.

Nazareth had a 16-10 advantage in shots while corner kicks were even at 8-8. Soules and junior Jordyn Ruston each had three shots for Nazareth. Maddie Siclare had four shots for Brockport. Ogrodowski had eight saves to gain the shutout, while Dobles made four saves for Nazareth.

Nazareth is back home for a pair of non-conference games next weekend. The Golden Flyers host St. Lawrence Friday at 4:30 and Clarkson Saturday at 1 p.m.
