Updated Stats ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth women's lacrosse team used a late surge against the College at Brockport, including scoring the last three goals of the game, however the Golden Flyers fell short 7-6 Thursday afternoon.
The loss marks the third straight for Nazareth, as it drops to 4-3 overall, while the 16
th-ranked Golden Eagles move to 6-0.
It was a low scoring first half between the squads as they combined for just four goals, with the hosts leading 3-1 at the break.
Nazareth did not score its first goal until the 5:58 mark on a

The Golden Flyers found themselves in a hole midway through the second half trailing 6-2. Nazareth's offense got its third goal of the game with just over 13 minutes remaining on an unassisted goal from
Jamie Martin.
After Brockport re-gained a four goal advantage, Nazareth mustered a comeback attempt, netting three goals in a 3:36 span.
Gray started the run with a goal and
Kate Rothrock capped it with three minutes left on the clock. Martin notched her second of the day in between.
Nazareth, however, was unable to find the game-tying goal in the last three minutes of play.
Freshman
Brianna Rizzari made her first collegiate start in net, making seven saves in the loss.
Katie Carroll also scored in the game for Nazareth.
Rothrock had a team-high four ground balls, while
Haley DeVona pulled in three.
Nazareth opens up Empire 8 Conference play on Saturday when it will host Hartwick College at 1 p.m.
