Meet websiteITHACA, N.Y. -- Action continued Thursday at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championships at Ithaca's Aquatics Pavilion with Nazareth's men's and women's team continuing where they left off Wednesday.
In the women's meet, senior Kimberly Pedrotti turned in a fifth place finish in the 400 IM in 4:37.66, moving up from eighth after the preliminary round. She also swam on the ninth-place 400 medley relay team (4:09.01) that included freshman Brenna Riley, sophomore Erika Holland and freshman Annamarie Policht.
Cameron Hess competed in the 200 freestyle, clocking a 1:58.52 for 15th place. In addition the foursome of Hess, Policht, Kenna Hartmann, along with Shannon O'Malley finished 10th in the 200 free relay (1:41.51).
In diving action, Desiree Kline placed eighth after compiling 388 points.
In the men's meet, sophomore Alex LaPoint demolished his previous record in the 400-yard IM by touching in 4:04.32 to earn second place. He moved up from fifth place after the prelims. Junior Declan Lyons competed in the consolation finals for a 15th place (4:25.74) finish.
Nazareth reached the finals in the 400 medley relay (3:31.22) but was disqualified for an early take-off. The Golden Flyers' 200 free relay of Gannon Connors, Sean Doyle, Matt Leverich and Dan Burke clocked a 1:28.02 for seventh place. Doyle also placed 16th in the 200 freestyle (1:47.90).
