ITHACA, NY – The Nazareth women's soccer team moved into double digit wins for the season after winning their sixth straight game, 1-0, over host Ithaca College Saturday afternoon.  Junior Julia Delgatti scored for the sixth straight game off an assist from Michaela Soules in the 74th minute to give the Golden Flyers the only goal they would need to earn the victory.

Nazareth improves to 10-2-2 overall and 5-1 in the Empire 8, while Ithaca drops to 8-2-2 overall and 3-1-1, respectively.

Although Ithaca held a 21-10 edge in shots for the game, a stingy defense and stellar goalkeeping from Allison Dobles helped Nazareth keep a clean sheet.  Dobles made six of seven saves in the second half.  For the season, Dobles has registered eight shutouts and has an impressive .29 goals against average.

The Golden Flyers nearly opened up a 1-0 advantage just 1:38 into the contest as Mary Kate Ordway sent a shot in that hit the crossbar.

After a scoreless opening half, the visitors found that back of the net at the 73:32 mark.  Soules found Delgatti on a cross for a shot into the side netting.

Delgatti finished the game with four shots and Jessica Byrnes had three.

Nazareth returns to action on Tuesday when it will travel to East Avenue rival St. John Fisher for a 7 p.m. contest.
