ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Buffalo State dominated Nazareth Saturday in a non-conference men's soccer game at Golden Flyer Stadium. The Bengals outshot Nazareth 25-8 overall on their way to a 3-0 victory on day one of the 12th anual Doug May Classic.

Buffalo State improved to 2-0 overall and plays at RIT Sunday. Nazareth dropped to 0-2 and hosts King's College Sunday at 11 a.m.

Buffalo State's Bass Sarr scored his team-leading third goal of the season on a header in the 19th minute of the opening half to provide all the offense the Bengals needed. Luke Pavone passed the ball to Sarr following a free kick by Danny Clavin.

Pavone and Devonte Black each added goals in the second half -- both off assists from Lorne Maxime as the Bengals continued to control the action.

Junior Ben Rodney generated four of Nazareth's eight shots and freshman goalie Alex McLean had eight saves in his first career start. William Banahene had six saves in producing his second straight shutout.
