CANTON, N.Y. -- Junior Kelsey Ryan was Nazareth's top individual finisher Saturday as the Golden Flyers closed out their men's and women's cross country seasons at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Ryan, a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star, finished in 108th place on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 24 minutes, 37 seconds. Nazareth finished 22nd in the 36-team field with a score of 649. St. Lawrence took the team title with 77 points with Geneseo second with 91. Plattsburgh's Stefanie Braun won the race with a time of 21:52.

In the men's 8,000-meter race, Nazareth had just three runners so the Golden Flyers were unable to generate a team score. Sophomore Matt Fedrizzi was the top finisher in 125th place (27:42). Senior Tim Rutan (28:16) and sophomore Josh Strough (29:11) also ran.

St. Lawrence (89 points) edged Geneseo (95) for the team title, although Geneseo's Lee Berube took home individual honors with a winning time of 24:41.3.

Also competing for the Nazareth women's team were freshman Meleana Spera in 125th place (25:00); sophomore Bethany Althaus in 138th place (25:17); sophomore Kayleigh Olive in 141st place (25:19); senior Michelle Gillette in 146th place (25:29); freshman Michaela Gildemeyer in 161st place (25:50); and senior Katie Mutter in 185th place (26:13).
