• A versatile athlete, Schencke's excellence in three sports helped her become a two-time recipient of the Rochester Press/Radio Club's College Sportswoman of the Year award
• As a swimmer, Schencke won 85 of 95 dual-meet events and amassed 525.05 career points
• Led 1979-80 swim team to a 14-2 record by winning all 27 of her dual-meet events as well as state titles in 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard freestyle relay
• Graduated with several school swim records and ranked among all-time leaders in several other events
• Helped volleyball team to a 34-10-2 record and its first-ever state title in 1980
• Compiled a 186-144 record as volleyball coach for seven seasons; coached Nazareth to a state title in 1985, an ECAC title in 1987 and a 43-14 record and an NCAA tournament berth in 1985
