* Mohammed Ahamed made his mark on the soccer pitch as a standout defender for the Golden Flyers
* Recognized as a three-time Empire 8 Conference all-star and the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2006
* Golden Flyers’ starting sweeper in 2006 for team that finished 15-5-3 and advanced to quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament
* Honored as a third-team All-American in 2006 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America
* Missed the entire 2007 season with a serious knee injury, but returned to serve as team captain in 2008 and 2009 and to earn first-team E8 all-star honors
* Helped team to Empire 8 titles in 2005 and 2006 and a pair of NCAA Tournament berths
