Few Nazareth athletes have displayed more power than track and field standout Luis Rivera, who won a national championship in the weight throw and was a four-time All-American in that event
Became Nazareth’s first track and field national champion in 2016 with a heave of 20.45 meters in the 35-pound weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Iowa
Finished sixth in the same event in 2015 to earn All-American honors for the first time
Enjoyed similar success in the hammer throw during the outdoor season, finishing eighth in 2015 and third in the 2016 at the national meet to earn All-American honors
A six-time Empire 8 Conference champion (3 indoors, 3 outdoors)
A three-time New York State Collegiate Track Conference champion and two-time ECAC titlist
