• One of the finest players to ever wear a Nazareth basketball uniform, Maroney led the Golden Flyers to a pair of 20-win seasons in 1982-83 and 1983-84
• Led Nazareth to a 22-6 record and NCAA East Regional title in 1984
• Named ECAC Division III Player of the Year in 1984 and Division III All-American by Basketball Weekly
• Named to NABC East District all-star team in 1983, 1984
• Led Nazareth to Chase Tournament title in 1984 and was named Most Valuable Player
• Ranks among colleges all-time leaders for career scoring average (17.8), points scored (941), field goals made (382), and field goal percentage (.583)
