• After transferring to Nazareth for the start of his sophomore year, John McAuliffe served as a three-year starting defenseman for the Golden Flyers' lacrosse team
• Earned All-American honors in both 1989 and 1990 from the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association
• Was a three-time first-team all-star in the Empire Lacrosse League
• Served as team captain, named the team's defensive MVP, and competed in the prestigious North-South Senior all-star game in 1990
• Helped Nazareth to a record of 33-11 in three seasons with two NCAA tournament appearances (1988, 1989) and an ECAC Upstate title (1990)
