• A solid contributor to Nazareth's swimming success in the early 1980s, Bergeman won more than 60 individual diving events in four seasons for the Golden Flyers
• Earned NAIA All-American honors in one-meter diving in 1982 and 1983
• Earned NAIA All-American honors in three-meter diving in 1982
• Graduated as Nazareth College record holder in one-meter diving with a score of 277.60
• A two-time runner-up in one-meter diving event at Upper NY State meet
• Helped Golden Flyers to 32 dual meet victories in four seasons
