• One of the top players in the history of the Nazareth tennis program, Corey Shapiro was a two-year standout for the Golden Flyers after transferring from the University of Maryland
• Her career climaxed in 1997 when she was one of 32 singles players selected nationally to compete in the NCAA Division III championships
• Posted a singles record of 24-8 in 1996-97 and earned first-team all-state honors in both singles and doubles
• Ranks among Nazareth’s all-time leaders with 85 victories (singles and doubles), a total amassed in just two seasons
• Served as team captain in 1996-97 and won singles and doubles titles at St. John Fisher’s Cardinal Classic and finished second in doubles at the NYSWCAA championships
