• An unsung hero of Nazareth’s men’s basketball success in the mid-1980s, McCaffrey played during four of the most triumphant seasons in the program’s history
• A two-year starter and a Dean’s List student, McCaffrey was twice selected to the CoSIDA District 1 Academic All-America team
• Selected co-Most Valuable Player (along with fellow Hall of Famer Joe Convertino) of the Chase Scholarship Tournament in 1986 as Nazareth captured its third of four straight titles
• Helped Nazareth to a four-year record of 87-23, four Chase Tournament titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances
• Ranks among Nazareth’s all-time leaders in games played (106), assists (398), and steals (150) and set a school record with 13 assists in a game in 1986
• Was the 1987 male recipient of the Robert A. Kidera Scholar-Athlete award, which recognizes academic and athletic excellence
