Senior Alexa Rizzo recorded scores of at least 40 on six of her final seven dives Friday to move all the way up to second place overall as she finished with a score of 441.65 on the 1-meter board. It was her 10th dive – an inward 1 ½ somersault pike - that she scored 7.0 across the board with a dive score of 50.40, that moved her near the top of the scorers list. Her finish earned her a spot at the NCAA Championships scheduled for March 20-24 in Greensboro, NC. The 1-meter diving will be held March 21.
