Senior Alexander Gent has been solid on the defensive line for Nazareth all season and helped the Golden Flyers to a big shutout win over Alfred in Empire 8 play Saturday. The Nazareth defense has allowed just eight goals in 11 games so far this season with five shutout victories. Against Alfred, the shot totals for the teams were nearly the same but the Nazareth defense, led by Gent, helped goalie Patrick Larkin record a career-high 11 saves in the shutout win.
