Graduate student Brenna Johnson added to her trophy case over the weekend as she earned the Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships Track Athlete of the Meet. The veteran champion led the Golden Flyers to their first Outdoor Track and Field title and completed the sweep of both the Indoor and Outdoor titles in the same year. Johnson won the 100-meter race and was second in both the 200- and 400-meter races. Johnson set the school record with a 12.19 to win the 100 and posted a career-best 25.58 in the 200. She also helped the 4x400 relay win the Empire 8 title and was a part of the 4x100 that placed second.
