Carey was selected Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row after leading the Golden Flyers to two more shutout victories, extending the team's scoreless string to 700 minutes. She had three saves in a 1-0 win over St. John Fisher last Wednesday and then totaled a career-high 13 saves in a 0-0 tie with Ithaca Saturday.
