Bowers was among the Golden Flyers' top track and field performers during a weather-altered weekend. He competed in the 5,000-meter run at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University and placed third overall. Bowers' time of 15:08.37 was nearly 10 seconds faster than Nazareth's previous record that was set by Hall of Famer Brendan Epstein in 2007.
