Luton jump-started Nazareth's track and field season last Friday at the Nazareth Alumni Invitational by breaking the school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.18 seconds. The early-season result ranks him second nationally in that event. Luton also finished fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.35) and seventh in the long jump (6.49 meters / 21 feet, 3 1/2 inches). The Golden Flyers compete again Jan. 22 at Brockport.
