Gabel helped the Golden Flyers to a runner-up finish in the Mike Daley Invitational last weekend as Nazareth split basketball games with Cazenovia and Rensselaer. He scored a game-high 22 points in Friday's 80-72 victory over Cazenovia and surpassed the 1,000-point mark in career scoring. He added eight points in a 61-60 loss to Rensselaer on Saturday and represented the Golden Flyers on the all-tournament team.
